Come Join Us

Your experiences as a Montgomery College student are different from those at any other time of your life. You juggle classes, work, and other responsibilities; establish new friendships and connect with others, but most of all you enjoy new freedoms. That's exactly why we're here. Clubs are designed to add value to your student life while at MC. You will find endless opportunities to:

  • Meet others, make connections, gain social contacts, but more importantly establish friendships
  • Take part in an exciting and fun experience while learning about yourself and the world around you
  • Develop and hone vital leadership skills
  • Transfer classroom theory into practice
  • Build your resume and portfolio
  • But more importantly discover your values, potential, and campus spirit

Additionally, clubs have the advantage of collaborating with a faculty member or professional staff advisor and a Student Life Specialist in setting it up to be successful.

Student Life provides the structure and YOU provide student life with your passion, ideas, and energy. As a member of the MC community, we know that you will contribute in many important ways and we are here to be inspired by you and lead with you to make our campus even more vibrant.

There are many ways to join a club and get involved. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Browse the list of clubs and reach out to any that catch your interest.
  2. Attend a club meeting, either in-person or virtually—meeting details are available in the club listing.
  3. At the start of each semester, don’t miss our annual CLUB RUSH event. It’s a great way to connect with others, explore new interests, and dive into campus life.
  4. If you can’t find a club that fits your interests, why not start your own?
  5. For additional help or questions, contact your Student Life Specialist.

It’s that easy! Get involved and join a club today!

  1. Identify an Interest: Choose a focus for your club (e.g., Anime, Gaming, Korean Culture, Christian Fellowship, Veganism, Mental Health, Business, Spanish language, etc.)
  2. Meet with Your Student Life Specialist: Set up a meeting with your campus Student Life Specialist to discuss your club idea.
  3. Recruit Officers: Gather three other students to serve as officers. Every club needs a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Each officer must be enrolled in at least 3 credits at MC and have a minimum 2.0 GPA (new students without a GPA are exempt).
  4. Find an Advisor: Look for a Faculty or Staff member on your campus to serve as your club advisor, or ask your Student Life Specialist for assistance in finding one.
  5. Complete the Required Paperwork: Each officer and the advisor must fill out electronic forms, and complete a brief online training session. The club leader must meet with the Student Life Specialist before your club can be official.
  6. Receive Official Approval: You’ll receive an email within 48 hours after you meet with your Student Life Specialist, and all forms are submitted and processed. This email will notify you if your club is approved. For more details or assistance, reach out to your campus Student Life Specialist listed below.
Note: Missing any step(s) could delay or prevent your club from becoming official.
