The Financial Aid and Recruitment teams are partnering to host Paying for Collegenew window webinars, designed to help students, families, and counselors understand financial aid, scholarships, costs, billing, and more. These sessions provide essential information that help students and families make informed decisions and feel confident about their college investment. The next Zoom session on November 12 will focus on financial aid programs and the types of aid available. Anyone interested can registernew window in advance.

Access Increases For The Third Consecutive Year

Montgomery College is growing, thanks to the dedication of faculty and staff and the trust of students and residents who choose us for their education. This fall (PDF, Get Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader. Link opens in new window.) , nearly 20,000 students enrolled at MC, a six percent increase over last year and our third consecutive year of annual growth. More students from across our region and around the world are discovering the opportunities, support, and sense of belonging that make MC such a special place to learn and grow. Enrollment rose among Black/African American, Hispanic, Asian, and international students, reflecting our shared commitment to access and inclusion. Whether beginning a college journey or continuing toward a degree, every student is part of a thriving, diverse community that is shaping the future.

MC Selected To Apply For 2027 Aspen Prize

Montgomery College has been named one of 200 community colleges eligible to apply for the 2027 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. This recognition highlights the College’s strong performance in student success, equity, and workforce outcomes. The $1 million Aspen Prize, which is awarded every other year, is the nation’s premier recognition of high achievement and performance among community colleges. The award selection process includes a rigorous, yearlong review, with the winner announced in 2027. This opportunity affirms Montgomery College’s commitment to inclusive, high-impact education and the excellence of our faculty and staff in supporting the success of our students.
